I know most people have the opposite problem with their toddler but i swear if you seen my child you would think i dont feed her. She is ALWAYS hungry ALWAYS asking for food, whines when she doesnt get it ALWAYS in the fridge and cupboards. I didnt think much of it before but now i'm starting to get worried. She will never say she is full. She will eat a whole plate then ask for a snack. She is tiny only weighs 30 lbs so i'm not worried about her weight yet but as she gets older i dont want the weight to catch up to her plus if she doesnt get a signal to her brain that she is full then something is wrong. HAs anyone heard of this? or know anyone that this has happened too. DR. GOOGLE isnt the best place to find info they are saying could be tape worms or some down symdrome symptom or something.

My guess is upcoming growth spurt!

My son is 3 too and he started eating non-stop the past few weeks, he's definitely having a growth spurt because his pants are getting too short all of a sudden

I hope thats what it is. I dont want her to have no knowledge of what full feels like or not being able to control herself when she is older. Thank god she makes healthy choices more so like fruits veggies meats etc but she also will help herself to like 2 bowls of cereal and still want more. She also cant get enough of rice and noodles.

My 3 year old is like that too. Constantly wanting to eat, stealing food if I say no, etc... She's little too, about 29 lbs. I just make sure she gets healthy options to choose from.

Sounds like it could be a growth spurt like Jamie mentioned since all our 3 year olds are eating everything in sight. Makes me feel better.

My son is always hungry. We just went to the dr and he's still at 40 pounds, which he's been that for a year now, but he's now 42 inches tall! He's grown about 8 inches in a year.

My daughter lately has been the same way when it comes to food. She even goes as far as telling my SIL that Mommy & Daddy dont feed her LOL. I laugh at it because they clearly see that she eats ALL THE TIME! She will have a small bowl of rice and 10 minutes after she's done she tells me "momma I want a snack" She also does make healthier choices which really doesnt worry me, it's how often she wants to eat. She weighs 37 pounds and she's taller for her age so Im hoping it's just a growth spurt.

I thought my child was the only one with a bottomless pit in her stomach and if you look at her you would never imagine that she eats soooooo much!

We'll all right here with you! Chase ate two huge plates of pot roast, potatoes, and green beans for dinner and as soon as he was done (we ran out of food!! lol) he asked for a snack!
He's not a big kid- I haven't weighed him in awhile but I think he's maybe 35 lbs

my son was like that until we cut gluten and casein from his diet. That also had other benefits for him, but it was all tied together in his case. Once his diet changed, he ate started eating healthy portions and frequencies.
my daughter was like that until we had her start eating more protein. She still has quite the appetite if she's had a busy day, though.
Of course, sometimes it's just a growth spurt. In our cases, it wasn't, because it was ongoing and fixed with improving their diet, but if she eats well as it is, probably nothing to worry about. Of course, ruling out any medical conditions is always a safe bet. Better to rule it out than to dust it off and run into a problem down the road.
I've always believed in being proactive, but I know some people think that it's just getting "over worried". IDK, though. Sometimes being "over worried" helps you catch a problem early and makes the long-term damage much less. At worst, being "over worried" just results in you thinking "I was worried about nothing."

Chase's pediatrician told us at his 3 year check up that he will eat when he's hungry and this age is still about trying new foods. She said as long as we have a lot of healthy options around the house he should be fine. She said kids this age are beginning to be good at noticing how their bodies feel when they are full and how to regulate. It's a learning process for them though I'm sure little miss is just fine and is probably just sprouting like crazy.

Chase was 37 pounds at his 3 year visit and is hovering between 35-37 now (almost a year later!!!) but he has grown like 5 inches in a year. His appetite seems to come in spurts. He was kind of short and a little pudgy right when he turned 3 and now he's a bean pole!
