OK so in order to save my sanity some of you lovely ladies suggested while going crazy waiting to find out the gender and prepare for baby I should focus on my daughter's big girl room.
*Because of space/sizing room layouts we moved Hailey to the guest room and turned it into her big girl room and will put baby in her old nursery.

The turn out was so much better then I expected! And I managed to pull it all off for a grand total of $45!!!

I bought plastic bins for bookshelf to be her dresser
A blanket a lamp and a small rug

Here are the pics

And I painted it all free hand

When she saw it she ran up to the wall carressed it and said "this mine Hello kitty cat?" I said yes baby mommy painted it for you.
She said "Oh THANK you mommy! I LOVE my hello kitty cat!"

I feel so accomplished

Great job!! her response is so cute... ! do you have that tall bookshelf anchored to the wall? I had a tall bookshelf fall over on my daughter. Thank God not a scratch on her! They like to step on the bottom row and reach for things and they get all wobbly!

Adorable! And what a talent to do that free-hand. So lovely how much Hailey appreciated it! And the fuzzy strings hanging her name on the wall are so cute!

Ditto to Mirdeemrlvs about anchoring the shelf if you haven't though, it never crossed my mind when making my daughter's room, she didn't have any tall furniture, a heavy long dresser (only 3 drawers tall, 2 wide) so I figured everything was safe until my middle DD tried to climb it and pulled the whole thing over on herself. We were lucky she was ok, but I anchored everything after that.

You really did a great job, and on an unbelievable budget, too!

Awe thanks everyone! i feel so inadequate when decorating cause my mom and sister are professional interior designers lol.
I'm pretty happy with it though and the Person who's opinion matters loves it
I do love painting though its a fun way to express your creativity

I didn't even think about anchoring! I will have dh do that soon thank you so much for the heads up!
