I'm having such a hard time with sleep lately. I'm actually still comfortable, but here's the situation:
Cole still wakes up a few times each night ( not a huge deal) and both boys are up pretty early...6 at the latest (also not a huge deal). The huge deal is my recent problem of falling back asleep after waking up. Here is what an average night looks like lately:

7:30 both boys in bed
10:00 (earlier lately) DH and I in bed
12-1 Cole wakes up, DH or I soothe him back to sleep
1-2 I struggle to go back to sleep
4:00 Cole wakes up, DH or I feed him and put him back to sleep
4-5 I struggle to go back to sleep
5:30 DH leaves for work
5:30-6:00 at least one boy up

So you can see the problem
I'm a tired, emotional mess. I wake up when Cole wakes up even if DH is helping him. I also don't feel comfortable taking any medicine bc of being pregnant AND because I want to be able to hear my kiddos if they need me.

So I'm looking for natural solutions. Thanks in advance!!

Sorry, I don't have a great answer for you. I have trouble falling back asleep if I've been woken at night anyway, but it's REALLY bad when I'm pregnant, I can be up for hours trying to go back to sleep.

Honestly, if Cole isn't ready to sleep through the night, I'd explore any option you can to have DH take care of it without waking you, even if it means sleeping in separate rooms for a while, you need some sleep.

Good luck, I hope your sleep gets better, you must be exhausted.

Do your boys nap in the afternoon? If they do, is there any chance you could nap with them?

I have no advice. Im actually struggling with the same thing. I hope you can find something to help. If it weren't for us bed-sharing with my DS we wouldnt get any sleep at all. He wakes up 1-3 times a night still and I usually just nurse him and he goes back to sleep.

Thanks for the replies ladies Every once in a while both boys will nap at the same time and I can get a nap in, which is always nice.

Chase is growing out of naps though. He only takes like 1-2 naps per week.

Chase and Karston are about the same age. I'm lucky if I can get him to take a nap. I just try to go to sleep earlier and forgo all naps with him.

My older kids had 9pm bedtimes as toddlers, so that they would sleep later. Can you experiment with putting them to bed later to see if they would sleep later for you?
