My two year has speech problems. b4 September she wasn't saying anything at all. she understood what you was saying she just couldn't say it herself. like if she wanted a cup she would just hand it to you, she would say cup or juice or anything. well we got her a speech therapist n slowly she start speaking. well in the last two weeks she has been talking up a storm. she thinks every sentence suppose to start with "I want" lol but she has been doing really good. the other day her father was in the bathroom and she said " ughh Bah-Be (that's what she says instead of mommy) daddy is in the bathroom". I seriously teared up. I know a lot of parents including my sister who won't get their kids the help they need because they don't want to have a child with "special" needs or want their child to be labeled "slow". getting my child the help she needed was the best thing I could have done for her. her therapist says she is the smartest child she has helped, its just her speech is 6 months behind where it should be. i'm just bursting with pride, I know we still got a ways to go but I say by the end of the year i'm gone be sending her to another room cause she gone be talking my ear off.
what a great milestone for her! Yep. I bet your going to want to tell her to go talk to the wall or something soon :-) I find that when my children are really tired they are chatter boxes like their father.
