I don't know what's going around but for the last 2 days I've been battling a dry cough... mostly at night. I haven't had any other symptoms at all. I'm not congested or anything and didn't have a fever until I got out of work tonight (low grade thank goodness) but today has been the worst so far. I can't stop coughing even though I'm not coughing anything up at all... it's just scratchy and super painful and I don't know it's just horrible. I also work in a 38 degree cooler all day with fans so of course that didn't help things.

THANK YOU BLADDER for being tiny and weak today. I am not joking when I say I coughed so much I peed a little even though I didn't have to pee at all at the time. DH thought it was funny. I wanted to scream and cry about it.

THEN I take my shoes off because all I want to do is soak in a tub for a while (maybe steam will help this random cough?) ...and I'm greeted with THIS:

This must be the swelling I keep hearing about but hadn't experienced yet

That's all. I'm done complaining today but while you're here, is there any other remedy besides tea with honey and lemon? I really just want the urge to cough and the pain in my throat and chest to go away

((hugs)) I gargle salt water to help with a sore throat. I'd also probably keep doing the honey and tea to see if it helps. Feel better soon.

Oh nooooooooooo!! The swelling!

I use cough drops for my throat normally but I haven't had a sore throat while pregnant yet so I'm not sure if they're approved for pregnancy

Make sure you elevate those feet and stay off of them when possible. I gargle with warm salt water for a sore throat as well.
