I had a check up with my regular Dr on wed. I have asthma and needed my inhalers refilled. Well she did all the normal breath deep listen to my chest stuff. Then she listened to my carotid artery and said "hm, what's going on there". She said it sounds like there could be a blockage and now I have to go have an ultrasound to check. I am freaking out. I am 28, I eat healthy for the most part, I exercised a lot most of my life. I feel like how the hell can I have a blockage in my artery?! I am really hoping it is nothing and she is just being cautious.

Lol!! Thanks everyone! I did stop googling now. I found something that said the bruit (that's what she heard) can be innocent and is often found in young people with faster heart rates or extra blood flow. Well hello being pregnant gives you extra blood so I am hoping that is all that is going on in there!
Oh no, that is neverwracking. Yes, don't google anymore. I'm sure you will get good news after the u/s. It's nice the Dr did a thorough exam just to be sure all is well. Try not to stress too much yet. I assume if they thought it was that life threatening they would have sent you right over to the hosp, especially since youare pg.
