I was so proud of myself for staying away from it for this long but I have to give in. I NEED CRUSHED ICE. Yes I have very low iron n thats the reason I crave it but ugh its just sooooo good. It was crazy during my last two to the point I was getting big bags of ice every week. Ugh n don't let me pass a Sonics cause I would make the husband pull over lol. The husband already like "here we go with this mess"
Location: McDonough, GA by way of Charlotte, NC and my home NY!!!!
Having low iron usually causes Pica I think that is how it's spelled which causes a cravings for foods that have no nutritional value, ie: crushed ice, starch, etc...so many women get affected by this even without being pregnant. A co worker of mine had the ice craving so bad she scraped the icebox ice if she couldn't get regular crushed ice fast enough!
The ONLY time I want ice is when I am pregnant. A few months ago I wanted ice in my drink out of the blue and my 17 yr old said Good God no! No more babies, little did he know 2 months later we'd have a BFP.
