I've been waiting for this day for so long and its finally here! I hope the tech will tell us the sex but technically in bc Canada we aren't allowed to know until 21 weeks Although my ob said she would tell me on Saturday at my 20 week appointment but that will be torture having to wait!
More importantly i just want to hear baby is healthy!

Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend! SO and i are on our 5th day off together and I've been trying to stay off the computer.

So the anatomy scan went well (as far as I know, will have to wait for full results from OB later this week) but the tech did tell me baby is measuring 19w3d and was 19w1 when we had the u/s and is weighing 12oz.
She told me that she did determine gender but she is not at liberty to disclose the information...BLAH..and my dr would have the report within a week, so really hoping she has it by my appointment on Saturday!!! I'm going to call Friday and see if the secretary can do a little pushing to make sure we have it. Not only for gender but so I know that everything is growing correctly with my baby.

So at first baby was stubborn and not giving her the shots that she needed, she had me move around and finally got them. When daddy came in baby was being lazy then all of a sudden started doing back flips and then we saw it stick out its tongue and lick its arm!!! I had to ask the tech if thats what I just saw and she said she saw it too...guess the baby is learning from my cats already lol Anyhow it made for a good laugh anyways.

Here is some pics of baby, someone said to me it looks like a girl but I don't know how you could tell from this shot

and its little foot!

YAY I hope the tech is nice enough to at least let the scan hover over parts so you can make an educated guess. techinically that isn't telling

Ignorant question, what Is BC canada and how is it different than canada canada??
mamalamb, miniRazz and Jessmom like this.

BC is a province in Canada (basically like a state) and they have different rules about when we know gender due to certain nationalities doing gender specific abortions. BC is the most multicultural province in Canada so other provinces dont have this issue like we do

So exciting! I also live in BC the tech told me last time I was there that if I came in after 20 weeks they would tell me. Of course we actually don't want to find out so I am scared of accidentally finding out lol.

Good luck to you!!

We have a LOT of issues with that in Toronto, and I was told at 18 weeks. I bet your OB will tell you at 20

My first three I went to a practice that the techs weren't allowed to tell either. I had to wait for the doc to call me back the next day. But with my second and third, I asked the tech to show me between the legs and I knew what they were she just wasnt allowed to confirm for me, haha. Hope the doc gets the report quickly and tells you gender!
