All these girlie posts are killing me slowly but sweetly. I get to ooohhh and aahhhh at gender reveals, and name announcements, and pics of beautiful clothes and furniture, but at the same time it's like a twisting knife to the heart. I wonder if loving your best friend who happens to be married to someone else would feel the same?

awe *hugs* hope you get the "boy bug" soon. I had a hard time when I found out my 3rd was a boy, but eventually I starting finding all the cute boy stuff and felt better.

I know what you mean. It's hard on me to see boy posts.. or to think about the fact I will never ever have a boy with DH... But, I try to focus on the positive

So sorry, hon. It took us about 2 weeks to adjust to my DS being a boy. It's tough.

{{HUGS}} I was sad when we found out #4 was a boy and with every ultrasound would hope they'd say GIRL, but then I did come around and then I started hoping they would NOT say it was a girl. I'm so thankful for my son and I couldn't imagine him being a girl.

I know how you feel unfortunately. This is my last one and I really wanted a girl. I'm just trying to think of all the positives about him! I love the little girl clothes and decors they have and knowing I will never have that.. breaks my heart.
With that being said I realized he is obviously meant to be here for a reason! Im getting to the point where I am just so excited to meet him and hold him.
I hope you start to feel better about it soon! *hugs*

I'm sure you'll start feeling better soon, but if anyone tells you that you should just be happy and only worry about having a healthy baby... you just let me know and I'll come and slap them upside the head. Deal?

I am kinda in your shoes but in regards to other people's reactions! When I tell them it's a boy they don't seem excited for some reason. Everyone thought we would have another girl I guess. I do agree that I will also miss buying girly clothes but I have gotten over it and I just choose to not look at girly clothes anymore and just concentrate on reusing my son's clothes and looking at cute boy things!
I actually have a few friends and family who just have girls so when they hear we are having another boy they are a little jealous but really happy for us! For me this baby was a surprise so this is bounus baby for us and well even thought I thought I wanted a girl more than a boy, I have accepted that we will have another son and I am really excited to meet him in August! I love my kids and I will love this little guy just the same! Hopefully with time you will really bond with the fact you are having another boy but what you are feeling is totally normal

Awe Tinky... I am sorry. I can empathize with how you feel and at the same time feel really sucky cause I just made one of those blasted posts you are talking about... any consellation, I only have one girl and 4 boys... I felt really bad in the beginning awaiting gender because I was very vocal that I absolutely did not want to see a penis on the ultrasound!!! However, you will one day have a daughter in law that you can spoil just as much :-)
