OMG I can't even believe this! Alexavier got sick as did the rest of the boys over spring break. Along with the fever etc the other boys got Alex also got a severe ear infection. 5 days later he started complaining of his OTHER ear hurting so we went to urgent care where they found he had double ear infections in both ears. His antibiotic wasn't working and the doc ended up changing it to a stronger one. Well my stupid self someone got mixed up on dates somehow and I stopped his antibiotic when i was supposed to stop the first one, not the new stronger one. When my oldest son asked if it was ok to throw the bottle out I said ok. Last night at around 3 am Alex woke me with his crying, he said his ear hurt! I got to thinking and realized what I did. He hasn't complained at all today but I am not sure if it is the ibuprfen I gave him at 3 still working, or if last night was just sleep complaining or what. Now I am on standby waiting to see if we need to go to the doc and I feel like warmed over dog crap for letting this happen!

You might be able to call your dr and just get a refill of the prescription. That way you save yourself a trip to the dr and you have it on hand if it starts hurting him again tonight. I find with my DS he won't say a word all day, but at 2 a.m. he's miserable. Don't beat yourself up. We all have our moments.
