So this whole time I've been on the fence about having a baby shower... Didn't want the drama involved with my family and friends all fighting over who's in charge, etc..

So over the weekend I finally agreed to have one. Now, we can't use the lodges we wanted to (we had 3 in mind!) they're all booked for the entire months of June/July/August. I cant think of another single place at all to have the shower. We don't go to church so we don't have that option.

Bummer Looks like now that I decided I'd like to have one, we can't sigh.

Does anyone live in a townhouse complex where they have a "party" room? We are doing my shower in my mom's complex.

Both of mine will be at people's houses (boss/friend and MIL), though they will both be quite small. I've been to a pretty big one at someone's house too and it worked just fine.

Community centers, rec rooms at apt complexes, most parks have spaces you can rent for pretty cheap as well, or someone's house...you have options depends on what you and the people who are hosting it would like to do

Most of the ones I have gone to have been at a home or sometimes a park. I am noticing a trend out here where people are starting to go to restaurants now. I'm not sure if they offer a special package for baby showers?
There must be other options besides a lodge?

Oh, yeah! The restaurant idea is a good one. You can just make a reservation for a room or a large table, depending on how many people you expect and, I believe that's usually a pretty cheap option. I hope you find a good place!

Most fire stations have halls that you can rent. I like the restaurant idea. Food and cleanup is taken care of, gotta love that!
