I was a jogger before getting pregnant, and until I was about 6 weeks. At 6 weeks I experienced some bleeding and while the dr said I was fine, I didn't want to chance it. I am now 24 weeks and I miss those jogs. Even if it is a short quarter mile jog. Is it safe to do now? I'm a FTM and have no idea if i should just stick to the walking or if a quarter mile is going to be ok. Any advice would be appreciated.

All I was told by my OB is that if I was a runner before I got pregnant than running will be safe. Running as in training and doing it everyday. I only ran sometimes so I decided to stop. I just do walks daily with my son and he rides his bike. I miss running as well but since I wasn't a athlete I decided to wait until after my pregnancy.

It's usually fine to continue your level of activity after you get pregnant, but as you have no been running since you were 6 weeks, I would not start up again now without first getting clearance from your doctor, and even then, I would take it easy and maybe start with walking.

Yeah I was running a lot before pregnancy and then I was put on bed rest for a while. I miss it but I won't start again until I have the baby
