I did cloth with both my older boys at least part of the time. After Emory stopped wearing them, I sold my entire stash (very cheaply, I might add) and now I'm trying to decide if I will do it again. It was never easy for me to do it full time, but I have always been a little more on the "crunchy" side and it feels natural to me to use them.

So since I'd have to start over and it's been over 4 years since I've had to buy any cloth diapers at all, I'd love to hear what your absolute favorite dipes are. Links would be great too. Thanks!

I'm pretty much in your shoes. I still have a few of my old dipes, though (I think, I need to look), but I'm pretty sure the elastic is no good. Plus, none of my faves from back in the day seem to be made anymore.

So, this time around I've decided to just use prefolds and simple covers. I ordered some unbleached indian prefolds, Econobum covers, and Flip covers. I read great reviews on both types of covers, and both were for very reasonable prices. I went way too crazy when my boys were in cloth, so I'm trying to be more price conscious and economical this time. Plus, they poop and pee in them - I really don't need them to be super fancy. LOL!!

Oh gosh, there are just so many option out there.

What would you prefer, and I'll make suggestions from there...

prefolds and covers (padfolded, snappid, or pinned)
flats and covers (padfolded, snappid, or pinned)
fitteds and covers
fitteds and wool
sized or one size?
pocket diapers
AIOs
AI2s

I always start over with a new stash. It's more fun that way LOL

Of course I'm mostly making my own, but I will also use prefolds in the first few months. And a mix of pockets and AIOs. I haven't really seen anything out there I like more than mine (that sounds bad LOL), so I don't plan to buy much. There are one or two that I want to try that are on my registry...

I mostly used pockets and AIO and had a mixture of one size and fitteds before.

Kellisa, I LOVED your diapers. Wish you still made them for selling.

Doesn't sound bad to me! You can basically make your "dream diaper" that way! So it will have all the features and material and fit that you want.

So any specific suggestions? Or, Kellisa, do you just want to make them for me?

I am due in Sept but we also CD. My DD is in them at night now cuz she is potty trained. We love BG 4.0s. I love the stretchy tabs. I bought most of mine through the seconds sale for only $11 each! We also like Alvas...mainly for the price. I don't like the new FB cuz the PUL is sooo sticky and hard to stuff. I don't like RaR cuz the double gussets bake the diaper shorter in the rise and so they don't fit my DD anymore. I also really like Swaddlebees simplex OS. They are kind of a pocket AIO hybrid.
