We were both getting ready for work this morning and my DH proudly exclaims "Babe! If Blake arrives by his due date, we can still make plans for Labor Day!" to which I responsed..."Right, like feed, wake time, sleep every 3 hours?" He didn't quite understand that I wouldn't be THRILLED to pack up a week old (potentially) baby and head to the beach for the long weekend! Oh dear, we will get there...one way or another! Bless his heart...our first baby so we both have a lot to learn, just one of us has more to do than the other!
I always tend to overdo it after having a baby.. it takes a huge toll on your body. Breastfeeding on top of that, and losing sleep, blood, etc... our bodies need to re-cooperate. At the very least one week take it easy, and for the next 5 weeks wouldn't over do it.
