Today I was out walking while my daughter was riding her bike. We were walking past our neighbor's house and he was sitting his front porch, he called out to me a couple of times but I couldn't hear him because I had music playing on my phone, well by the time I got it turned off and was able to hear him, he had repeated himself 3 or 4 times. He said "Wow, looks like you need to go on a diet!". I laughed and said "Yeah, I feel like it". Then about 5 minutes later he brings over a dozen donuts!!!! I think he felt bad for saying that, what do you think?
Some days of pregnancy those comments just crack me up. Every once in a while, though, you have a day where everything just makes you feel badly. I think it was wise of him to bring the fragile, possibly hostile, pregnant lady apology donuts. Even if you weren't hurt or offended, what pregnant woman is going to turn down free donuts?
