I hope it's okay to post a link to another forum..

I'm bored and I found another forum and started clicking through the topics and I found this one:

Hidden twin? extra heartbeat found - BabyandBump

This woman found out today, (I think she's 26 weeks) that she actually has twins. She had one u/s that said boy, and one a girl and one with another heartbeat they couldn't identify. Just crazy!!!

Ever since I lost my twin, I keep hoping that really he/she is still in there and eventually I'll find that out, but I know it's not likely.

Hidden twins are possible. We didn't find out we were having twins till I lost one, it was hidden behind the SCH and placenta so was never seen. Especially if the babies are paternal and did not break from the same egg, you could go your whole pregnancy thinking you have a singleton in your womb until you go into labor and deliver twins.

I had mentioned my friedn with twins back when the group first started. She found out 10 days before delivering. She went in for feeling crappy, and they found her to be in labor and were working on her. Did another ultrasound to check on baby and asked her if shed been told her baby had an extra foot. They moved her around and whatnot and the second baby 'fell' out from behind the first.

That's just crazy and seems impossible... in the thread that I posted, one woman just kept saying over and over that she had twins and it was impossible, but so many people have stories like yours. I think it would be awesome! It's hard though because it gets my hope up that I could have a boy in there too. I try to put it so far from my mind. I am still struggling a little with having another girl, or well- NOT having a boy.

Yeah, it's exciting and sad too, because it brings a little bit of hope that will leave most of us wanting.

Even after 3 ultrasounds I still have a twin feeling, and I don't know if I'm nuts, if I had a vanished twin (first us at16 w weeks so o way to know), or if one is some how hiding from 3 different ultrasound techs and 2 different MFM specialists.

I had 3 early ultrasounds (6, 8 and 10 weeks) when I was pregnant with my twins where the doctor told me it was just one baby (I had used Clomid so we knew twins were a possibility). Finally at about 12 weeks I went in for another ultrasound and they "found" the second twin. Even at that gestation it was unreal! I can't imagine 26 weeks!

Okay, so I just spent two days trying to read through that whole thread and WOW! An admin ended up locking it though because people were being rude, so now I'm bummed we may not find out more about the mother and her babies. I'm worried for the littler one. Hope it's okay!
