I've been craving peanut butter and bananas like crazy and found this super simple shake online that's super yummy!! I make one for myself almost everyday in the afternoon the hold me over until dinner.
This shake is SUPER filling so make sure you have room to finish it!
3 Tablespoons of Peanut Butter (Creamy works best)
Handful of Ice
1 Cup of Milk
Drop of Vanilla
Cinnamon (to taste)
Vanilla Yogurt (to taste)
* 1 Scoop of Whey Protein Powder if you like! I bought the Pure Protein brand which was given the "ok" by my doctor at my last appointment
Start by blending the ice in a blender until it's no longer choppy. Break the banana up into pieces and add into blender, blend until smooth. Next add all the other ingredients and blend! DONE! I added the vanilla yogurt because I wanted it to be a bit thicker and sweeter so we have vanilla low fat yogurt and I usually add about 2 to 3 big spoonfuls to it and keep tasting it until it's just right. Same with the peanut butter, I notice I do 3 BIG spoonfuls of it because I like it really peanut buttery so I suggest following the recipe and then add later to taste. (The vanilla yogurt was NOT part of the original recipe)
Enjoy! Especially as it's getting hot!
Refrigerate any leftovers, it holds up pretty well for about 24 hours in there.
