It's been a crazy week!! I had my midwife appointment on Wednesday right after DS's swim class, then Thursday DS had surgery to get tubes in his ears, my dog also had surgery to get neutered, and finally got away on a date night with hubby.
Anyway, so my appointment went good. I did my GD test, I was able to eat breakfast but then wasn't supposed to eat anything else until after my appointment which started at 1! But then I did something kind of dumb, I was drinking Gatorade and I didn't realize until after I had drank a lot that it has a ton of sugar in it! I totally wasn't thinking, I guess I assumed it was the sugar free kind or something. So I'm not sure if that is going to mess up my GD test or not..... Everything else went well. She gave me 2 videos to watch on natural birth, which I'm excited to see and waiting for DH to be able to watch them with me because I know one is about how he can help me cope with the pain, etc. If they are any good I'll let you guys know! Baby is good, head down, and he's a flirt, always kicking around when the midwives are feeling and listening to him. I've been having horrible sciatic nerve pain so she suggested warm baths and also I need to make an appointment with my chiropractor still. She also told me to stop worrying about my weight gain because it's perfect and I am a perfect size and weight. So I feel much better about that now. I'm up 30 pounds now and following the same pattern of weight gain as I did with DS, so I guess that's how my body likes to do it.
Overall a good appointment and healthy baby Hopefully I pass the GD test!
