I have my OB appointment today. Baby Mason sounds good, heart beat is strong and I'm measuring right on. My doctor said that I'll be okay with dealing with the GD as long as I follow the diet plan the dietitian gives me. I have to start on Sunday writing down everything I eat and I go on Wednesday to see the dietitian. I'm not looking forward to having to prick my fingers 3-5 times a day but she seems to think everything will be fine after I have Mason. I did find it odd that I won't be having any more ultrasounds this pregnancy I was hoping to be able to see Mason before he's born.

I had to remind my dr. that I have GD today and she just asking me "everything going okay"... didn't check my book or anything. She did say 2 times a day is good for me to check levels. Are your numbers getting high? Is that why they want you to write everything down and check 3-5 times a day?

I was just diagnosed on Monday. I don't even have the meter thing to check my levels. I guess I'll get that next Wednesday.

I use myfitnesspal to moniter my calories. Might be a helpful app for you to try!

Glad everything's good with Mason!

Pricking your finger sucks in the beginning but every time I've had to do it, I've gotten used to it after a couple days! Hopefully it'll be like that for you too!

And I'm with you on ultrasounds- I was hoping for another peek but doesn't seem like i'll get one either

You have GD too? What can I really expect other than change in eating habits and checking my sugar levels?
