I've been having a lot for the past hour and a half... I have an app on my phone so I've been recording them. This is what I've had so far:

Approximately 3:15pm (first one, didn't record)... unsure of length
3:19pm: 1:18 long
3:25pm: 0:57 long
3:37pm: 0:32 long

(didn't record for the next hour, had 2 though)

4:37pm: 0:43 long
4:40pm: 0:21 long
4:45pm: 1:25 long
4:48pm: 0:29 long

And I feel another one starting now...

Very erratic, for sure. But a lot more than I'm used to. My stomach is actually sore from them now.
Do I call the doctor, even though they're erratic? Or are these just extra annoying harmless ones?

Last Sunday I had about 20 in 2 hours. They were irregular and most didn't hurt. I should have called them as I had way more than the 6 in an hour they allow you to have, but since they didn't really hurt I didn't want to spend the entire afternoon in L&D. Do you think you need to call your doctor? I think we have good intuition about when it is time to call.

Have you stopped what you were doing and rested with water? If they don't go away with that maybe call. It is interesting that they are so close together and then nothing.

I personally don't feel like I should call the doctor but my husband does, I just tried to call to appease him but their office is closed and I'm definitely not having the on call doctor paged lol

Believe it or not, most of these have occurred literally while just sitting on the couch and drinking water. So I don't think it's activity causing them- I was just up in the baby's room putting thigns away and doing laundry (that's the unaccounted for hour), and I only had 2 while up there.

Yeah, sometimes they're like back to back to back and then it's a long few minutes between!

I'm going to keep recording them and if they don't lay off in the next hour I'll entertain the thought of paging the doctor lol
(They're not VERY painful, more uncomfortable than anything and no other "symptoms" that would make me think PTL or something)

Sometimes I get a lot when I am sitting, so I get up and start doing stuff and they go away, or if I'm doing things and having them, I sit down and they go away... drink WAY more water than you think you should have and change what you are doing. If they keep happening I would go in just to be sure.

Alright, I gave in and called! Still having them (still erratic), and starting to have cramps too.

Just to see what they say... I hate that I had to disturb the on call doc though! Waiting for my call back.

KUP! I had 16 in an hour the other day. Very consistent, but then they just kinda went away.

Ahh 16 an hour!! Ouch!

On call doc said to eat, lay down, and keep drinking water. If in two hours they haven't gone down to less than 6 an hour I need to go in to be checked. So crossing my fingers they stop! Don't want to go to L&D today lol

That's interesting he told you to eat. There have been a couple of times I was having a lot of BH and after I ate something they got better. Twice in fact. I had diarrhea/stomach cramps during the time and I didn't want to eat.

I was getting worried a couple of nights ago. I had them every 5 minutes for over an hour while I was in bed trying to sleep. I got up walked around and did some laundry laid back down and then fell asleep while still having them. No baby yet so I was ok. Lol. Our bodies are so busy doing what they do. Hope yours stop soon.

So far I'm okay. Still having them but seems to be less frequent. I've only had 5 so far since 8

They say to call if you have 6 or more in an hour. The way my doc says, you never know which set of contractions might affect your cervix.
