My appointment was a little disappointing... Was hoping to be starting to dilate but no such luck. My cervix is so high the doctor could barely reach it. She said from what she can feel, it feels closed.
Baby is head down and she said its her head pushing my cervix back/posterior.
Heart rate in 140s and she's now measuring 38 weeks. She said next week if she's still 2 weeks ahead well do an ultrasound to try to get an idea on weight.
So I'm glad she's head down but I was really hoping for progress
Sorry you were disappointed!
You never know though. With my daughter I was checked at exactly 39 weeks. She could barely reach my cervix, tightly closed and no effacement. Scheduled an nst for the following appointment at 40 weeks and said we'd talk about induction then.
Started having contractions at 5:30 the next morning. Went to hospital at 11:30am and I was 3cm and 50% effaced. She was born at 6:48pm. At 39 weeks + 1 day
So you never know!!!
