I read somewhere that when you are pumping only one side at a time (like I am) that a good trick is to pump one side for 5 minutes, then the other for 5 minutes. Then 3 minutes and 3 minutes. Then 2 minutes and 2 minutes. You pump 10 minutes on each side but get more milk that way. It's also been nice for me because it gives my nipples more of a break so they hurt less afterward. Though I noticed for me it's better to do 5/5, 5/5, 3/3/, 2/2 (an extra 5/5) because otherwise I leak from one boob while I pump the other due to how much milk I have...

I'm so glad you found something that's working for you! Pumping all the time can be really hard and stressful!

that's great! I've not had to just pump, but up until dd1 was 3 months old we had major latch issues, so I would nurse her on one side for 2 feedings and pump the other side. once I finally got someone to watch and help me we found she wasn't latching right b/c I was making too much milk so she was practically drowning! so then I pumped 3-4 oz of the side she was nursing and then 7-10oz off the other- everytime!

Nope. My milk is very fatty. It all mixes together in the container and I always empty my breasts so I get all the hind milk
