I am going to be 37 weeks tomorrow. My dr told me the baby's head wasn't engaged yet when i went to have the ultrasound last week. I still haven't noticed a significant drop yet. I see my dr tomorrow and she will check me to see if i'm making any progress.

I have been having a lot of contractions lately, but nothing regular or getting stronger. So i'm sure they are just bh. I swear i had a real one last night. It started pretty mild, then really hurt everywhere, then tapered off to mildly uncomfortable again. I didn't time it, but i swear it lasted over a minute. My belly got really hard at the time too.

This morning i wake up with so much pressure down there. Harder to walk, and maybe tmi, but really feeling like i have to go to the bathroom. I went just to see if that was the cause, but the pressure and low cramping is still lingering. For the pressure i'm feeling, shouldn't she have dropped by now? Does this mean i'm getting closer? Or is this just to be expected in the next few weeks?

Btw i had plans today to go into town to return a couple baby shower gifts that i had multiples of. Probably 5 different stores to go to. I will be about 10 minutes away from the hospital and about 30 minutes from home. What do ya'll think? Ftm here.

I would say go ahead and do whatever you need to do.

As baby drops and engages in the pelvis you will feel more pressure, but it doesn't mean labor and delivery are imminent.

I've had pressure for a couple weeks now. I'm almost 39 weeks. Also a FTM. I would just do what you need to do keep a cell phone on you, and don't drive if its so intense to stop you whole walking.

I agree, do what you need to do. Sounds like things are getting closer, but even if you went into labor right now, you're not having the baby in 30 minutes, more like 10-24 hours, you'll know when it's time, but you'll also be surprised because it's just not like they show on tv.

keep on going if you can! Im 38 weeks and my baby dropped at 33. Ive had tons of pressure since then and it has made working and walking very difficult but that is just helping baby move down!

Thank girls. I returned a bunh of items and got a manual breast pump, water proof crib pad, breast pads and cream, a few outfits and a couple other things we needed. My dh has me paranoid, he keeps telling me to take it easy and not do too much. And don't go shopping by myself if plan on buying anything slightly heavy.
