I'm 38 weeks and 4 days. For the past few days I've been having very loose BM that have progressed into full on diahrrea. Is this something I should be concerned about or is it just the normal clearing out for labor? It's been happening for atleast 3 days now.

If you don't have a bunch of cramping like the stomach flu, I'd say it's normal and you'll go into labor soon!

I had the same thing the past week. I asked my doctor about it yesterday and she said it could be due to the heat (we've had some hot temps here lately) or early signs of labor.

I had it last week for about 4-5 days. I was hoping it was the start of something but they stopped and I'm back to normal.

sounds like an early labor sign. Stay hydrated, though!

I would say it sounds like an early labor sign but I've been dealing with it for a couple weeks and still pregnant at over 39weeks. I agree with the other ladies.. Just stay hydrated and as long as baby seems fine I wouldn't pay attention to it much.its just annoying.

I've gone back and forth from watery diarrhea to loose soft serve consistency bm's. Sorry for the visual, lol. It's been a month... it can be an early labor sign or in my case I think it's just a new normal for me since everything is so cramped in there and no room for my poor organs.

I've been dealing with it for a few weeks now too and for me it just gets progressively worse but no other signs of labor yet

I hope it's a sign for me! I also think I've been losing my plug maybe? And have cramoing and Braxton hicks lasting a minute and pretty regular at times at 7 minutes apart. So hopefully SOMETHING happens soon!
