My silly baby has flipped! My dr checked me and felt a foot. I am sitting at hospital waiting for an ultrasound then back to dr to figure out what to do next. I didn't think that this would happen so late. I am freaking out. I do not want a cesarean.

UPDATE. My ultrasound showed the baby is laying diagonal. Not full breech so hopefully it will flip again. I go back Monday. Until then I will be trying anything I can to encourage baby to flip back. I also go see a specialist next week sometime I case baby doesn't flip and he may try to flip baby also. My dr is optimistic that after 3 normal vaginal births that I will be able to avoid c-section. Only problem is time. She feels that I will go into labour ahead of my due date so.... The rush is on. Thanks for your support ladies. I am so scared of being cut open.

What is versions? I will google it.

If baby flipped this late then he still has room, so he can flip back. Its not too late. Fingers crossed for you.

I agree, he could flip back if he's flipping now! Versions are an option, too. In the meantime, try spinning babies, peppermint oil, and music. And also make sure if they do schedule a c-section for you that you have them do another U/S IMMEDIATELY before the c-section in case he has flipped back. Good luck!

Dr assured me that I will be getting a lasting yes ultrasound before c-Section. She said I will be sent home from surgery if baby flips at the last minute. It will be out last resort.

"Version" is a procedure where your OB attempts to turn the baby from the outside by manipulating your belly. Sometimes tocolytics are administered, often it is done in the operating room just incase there is any distress to the baby, and if it's successful, most doctors will induce immediately after to make sure baby doesn't have time to turn again.

Good luck!

By laying diagonal do you mean transverse? Like with the back to the uterus. My son was transverse way into pregnancy I think at 37-38 weeks and he ended up turning. I ha read that transverse babies don't usually turn again that late but he did! Just by me getting on my hands and knees and rocking back and forth. I felt him turn

Kinda in between transverse and fully breech. Baby's head is in my top left side bum is bottom right. Dr could feel a foot when she did my internal exam. I see the specialist tomorrow. And I will try some of the baby spinning positions every day.
