I am trying to concider all of my options. Hopefully my version tomorrow works or my baby turns on its own. But if this baby stays breech do I want to attempt a vaginal delivery? Or do I go straight for a section?? The head nurse today was telling us that she has attended many many breech births. Had a full ultrasound this afternoon and the baby is in a favorable breech position bum first.

I am terrified of a c-section for baby and me. I am also scared of complications in delivery which a breech definitely can lead to. Ladies what do you think? I am leaning more and more towards a Breech delivery over a c section. Of course I have not talked to my doctors yet so this all may be a mute point.

My doctor wouldn't even consider a breech delivery. I'd definitely talk it over with your doctor first. Good luck!

My perinatologist recommended against a breech delivery but that may have been specific to my situation.

I hope the version works for you. And I also wanted to let you know that I was also terrified of having a c section and ended up having to have one after two vaginal deliveries. It wasn't a walk in the park, but it was nowhere near as awful as I was imagining. No matter what happens, you and baby will get through it and you will be fine!

I am really hoping you get the delivery you want though. Keep us posted!

Where I live, some doctors do breech deliverys and some don't. I would have gotten one if needed if my doctors did it. If I had known she was breech sooner, I could have gotten under the care of a doctor that did them just in case. While I was in the hospital having Isabel a woman in another room delivered breech, too

I would personally be comfortable doing a breech delivery with favorable positioning and a provider who was experienced doing them.

FWIW, I know someone who had a breech delivery a home (baby unknowingly turned during labor). She did have complications, but not because of the breech, the delivery itself was just fine.

I don't know that's a tough one... I've never had a c/s so I can't say I'd prefer one over a breech delivery for sure, but it does seem "safer". I hope your baby turns in the right position so you don't have to choose!!

With the correct care giver, I would definitely try a breech delivery over a csection, especially with baby in the most favorable breech position.
