Any Of You Mommies Listen To Music During Labor. If So Did You Prefer Headphones Or Did You Let It Play Out Loud? I'm Wondering If The Headphones Would Be Too Distracting. Just Want To Get A General Idea Tho I Know Every Woman Is Different.

I brought a little ipod stereo with me to the hospital and played music over that. I don't think I would have liked it to be over headphones at all.

I listened to Celtic music with DD3 but this time I listened to Celtic until contractions got more intense and then I swayed with my husband to our favorite country songs.

I used my headphones when I was in early labor at home but at the hospital I just listened to Chris Tomlin radio on pandora from my phone speaker when I was almost in transition and when she was born. It wasn't blasting but I could hear it. This was the first labor I ever listened to music during.

I listened to music with dd, we just had a cd player that played in the corner of the room. It was way more helpful having music as my focal point than anything else. I don't think I would have liked head phones, them touching me I think would have been really annoying as everything touching me at the end was annoying lol

I listened to headphones with my first son, but found any and all sounds to be distracting so ended up not wanting them for long. I didn't have any kind of music with my second and assume I'll be the same way this time. I tend to prefer silence.
