Nothing too exciting here. Hubby was playing a gig Friday night and left around 4 o'clock. We had tried to 'help' encourage labor before he left with some loving.
Not thinking that anything would really happen, I was suprised around 6 when I started having back contractions. Not thinking it was real, I just took it easy at home. Around 8, they were still coming on average around every 5 minutes, so I decided to take a shower. They kept coming so I decided to put my mom and sistet on watch incase I needed to go to the hospital.
At 10, I decided it was time. I had a gut feeling they were going to check me and send me home so I didn't bother taking my suitcase. We got there around 11:15 and got in a room quick. The nurse came to check me and immediately said I wasn't going anywhere. I was already 5 1/2 cm dialated and contracting every 3 minutes.
At that point, I tried to call DH. He wouldn't answer (hard to hear your phone whem you're onstage) so I tried to call one of his band mates. She answered and knee immediately what I was calling for. They played the last song and hubby took off!
I got the epidural when I was around 6 cm because I knew from my last labor that this one would be quick too. Got my epi and was checked again... 8cm! Got to 10 pretty quickly and then push time! CJ was born at 4:33 am on May 4th!
Hubby stayed with me for a few hours after birth but soon went home since he was feeling pretty sick. Everything went great and am sooo happy to be a family of 4 now!
