Kieran was born April 8th, via C-section due to being breech. GD is gone, the 2 fasting levles that have been done have been great, 103 at the hospital and 96 at home. And 2hrs after meals have been under 120 which is lower then the 140 for not being pregnant

Good luck to the rest of you ladies!!

Kieran was 6lbs 13oz at 38weeks 3days with GD controlled with diet and glybruide 2.5mg for fasting levels, diagnosed at 17.5weeks

Seamus was 7lbs 9oz at 39weeks 6days(in 2006) with GD controlled with diet and 10unites of HumlinR for breakfast numbers.

So GD babies can be healty and small!!

Congrats! And great job on controlling your GD..

I praying I have another small baby as well.. This time I'm starting the diet earlier.. I wonder since I did this, will my baby be even smaller? We'll see in 6 months.. I just hope he/she is healthy and not affected..

Congrats!!

My GD is gone too.
Daniela was born at 38.5 weeks gestation on April 21st via c-section, she was 7 lb 14 oz at birth.
My GD was diagnosed at 28 weeks, controlled by glyburide starting at 2.5 mg and I was taking 7.5 mg at the end of the pregnancy.

The nurses had some confusion after birth because the doctor didn't specify that I am GD free after birth so they were taking my blood sugar every 4 hours for the first 2 days. But everything looked normal.
