I wonder how our little babies are growing.. Please share with us.. You can do U/S stats and pictures or baby stats and pictures..

I thought this would be fun to do and it will give those ladies who are dealing with gestational diabetes for the first time some reassurance. .

Okay here's mine:

Adriana: Diagnosed with GD at 28 weeks and didn't get my FBS undercontrol until 34 weeks and I was on a high dose of NPH insulin at night.

At birth
Weighing 6 lbs 15 oz's (10 percentile)
Height: 19 3/4 inches long ( 25th percentile)

At 18 months:

Weight: 23 lbs (40th percentile)
Height: 31.5 inches ( 40th percentile)
Head: 46.5 cm (50th percentile)

As you can see, Adriana is still a peanut..

Baby #2: I'm on 12 units of NPH at night for my FBS.. I think I may be pre-diabetic.. But that's okay.. I'm excepting it and I can make changes in my life to stop it..

I have no idea on his/her stats.. Baby is measuring right where he/she should be..

I had GD with my twins..diet controlled..born at 35 weeks and weighed 5.1 and 5.3. Which is a good, avg weight for 35 weekers...

Had a 35.4 wks US today and baby is measuring right at 6 lbs (51%) Also, diet controlled...

I had my son (had GD with him) at 37 weeks (or 36 1/2 - ob said one thing - peds said another) and he was 6 pounds 7 ounces and 19 inches....not terribly big.

This baby they say is weighing (as of Tuesday I was 30 w 2 d) 3 pounds 7 ounces....40th percentile. So both of my babies are not very big despite GD. I am a really small gal though

I am 32 weeks and been diagnosed with GD for most of my twin pregnancy.

I am currently on night NPH at 38U and morning NPH at 36U and supper fast acting of 4U (6U if I sneak in a piece of cheesecake)

Baby A measured 3lbs about 3 weeks ago which is average.

Baby B measured 3.5lbs about 3 weeks ago which is slightly above average.

We measure again on Monday - I suspect they are at least 4.5 lbs now - the frat boys are getting heavy!!

I don't want big babies - average is just fine by me. My first boy was almost 9lbs, I had GD and natural delivery with no epidural.

With dd I was gd, now I'm type 2.
DD at 37 weeks was 6lbs 12oz and 19 1/2 inches. On the big side for 37 weeks. I was on about 150 units of insulin a day total by the end.

This time I'm on alot less insulin actually. I'm exercising alot more. I was on bedrest last time. At my 28week u/s she was 20th percentile.
