I must say, I lack something in the department of getting the right amount of blood on the strip on a regular basis! This morning it hardly filled the strip before it counted all the way down, when it looked like enough on my finger. I had to retest, haha. At lunch I did it TWICE!! At least I'm learning, though, to make sure the strip is coated in that blood sample!! Trial and error, right??
I hate it when I waste strips. They cost so much! I always make sure I have a good drop of blood on there before I put it on the strip. If you squeeze the blood to your finger tips before you stick it can help and if I'm consistantly getting too small of a drop, I set the finger stick thing to go a little deeper. Mine has a setting from 1-10 I think. I get good results with 5. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it in no time.
