Yes it is completely safe for you and baby! Don't worry about it. It will make your life a bit less stressful with helping your numbers stay low. Good luck!

I was put on it yesterday too. It helped my number a little this morning. (98 vs. 110-115) From what I have read it is safe for pregnancy but they suggest you are off it two weeks before you deliver because they are unsure if it passes through breastmilk.

If you would like to see pictures of my sweet (but tiny) boy they can be viewed at www.caringbridge.org/visit/noahdarrohn they aren't the easiest pictures to look at but I am willing to share them with anyone who would like to see them <3
On August 2, 2012 we lost Sarah at 17 weeks. She was our 8th loss Her pictures can be viewed at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/sarahdarrohn
There is no known explanation for my losses.

My GD nurse informed me that studies have shown that the use of Glyburide can actually REDUCE the risk of developing Type 2 later on.

I was also concerned with taking it, so that made me feel much better

I'm taking it too. But it's not helping my fasting numbers of breakfast numbers.
