Hi. I'm 32 wks and 1 day along and was diagnosed with GD at 14 wks. I am becoming more resistant to my insulin. I have all my post meal levels under 120 but my fastings are creeping up. Any suggestions on what I can do or try to get them back under 100? Now they are 101-110 and I have 2 wks to get them lower or my high risk said he will most likely put me on insulin shots! I'd really like to try to avoid that, if possible. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Around 32-34 weeks hormone levels rise and can affect fasting numbers! you best bet is to get up in the middle of the night an eat! Peanut butter, or something high in protein! hope it helps!

I'm on insulin 4 times a day and meals look good for me - but I also have the high fasting number - always around 130 with insulin. MFM is not too concerned about it though as the meal numbers all look excellent with the insulin.

I don't know if this will help or not but have you tried taking a walk after your evening snack. Exercise is supposed to help lower your blood sugars.
