Quick intro, I'm Jen. This is my third pregnancy with GD. I was nursing my current baby when I was diagnosed. My sugars were hard to control so I weaned to see if that would help. I took my fasting this morning and have been on edge ever since. I usually have pretty high fasting numbers (never under 90, yesterday it was 109) This morning it was 81. Then I had a breakfast that was withing my carb limits (26 g) and my 2 hr number was 104. These are really low numbers for me. I'm starting to worry that something happened to the baby... Is this possible? Will the diabetes go away if I lost the baby? Or do you just have low days sometimes? I have not really felt the baby move yet, so I don't really have any way of knowing whats going on in there... I placed a call to my doc, but they go by message and haven't returned my call yet. TIA for any info...

I can say that during my pregnancy My numbers would change all the time, up and down. Sometimes it is just like they suck the sugar right outta you. Then all of a sudden it will spike to the 200s, it was so hard to keep them under control.

I am not sure how losing the baby would affect your numbers. But I think there is a slim chance that is what is going on, I think the baby is just playing games with you. It happened to me all the time. But when in doubt, it never hurts to call the dr.

Thanks for responding! My numbers are back up... I'm just paranoid by nature lol. I see the doc on the 15th, so I will ask then. Thanks again!

Some doctors are different. My doctors would think a fasting in the 80s or 90s is great.the 109 would be going over to the side where there would be a small concern but nothing major.if your not already start having a bedtime. Snack. That is important.peanutbutter on toast or just some peanut butter on a spoon is good.protein is best to help everything else you ate for dinner.I wouldn't worry anything happened to the baby.
