So i meet with my Midwife today and show her my fasting numbers for the past 3 weeks or so. She will decide if i need to keep testing or if just being aware of what i eating and keeping up with the Brewers Diet is enough. This is huge for me. First off testing is making me crazy. Just my personality i get OCD about it. Id rather not test...even if i was getting numbers like i got last pregnancy id rather just eat well and not know...i get so nervous. Second, if end up needing PM inulin again (which made no difference in my fastings last time) i might not be a candidate for homebirth. If I have to birth in a hospital again i will be devastated. Sigh. I have a feeling she will be fine with my numbers. She is looking for extreme jumps....like fastings in the 120's 130's. Heres my numbers:

Weeks 25-28

1/11-92
1/12-93
1/14--92
1/15-94
1/16-86
1/17-93
1/18-92
1/19-95
1/20- 88
1/21-94
1/22-90
1/23-90
1/24-88
1/25-90
1/26-93
1/27-93
1/28- Test strips in the sink
1/29-88
1/30- 104---Ate yogurt 3 hours before testing. Not fasting number.
1/31-88

Ill update later.

***********

I dont have to test anymore!!!!!! She says that i do need to make sure im keeping up my good eating and balancing my carbs/proteins! Yay for not going crazy!!!!!

Good luck!! I would hope a midwife would be more easy-going with the numbers, allowing some wiggle room. Mid-nineties might make some doctors run for the insulin, but I'm betting you'll be okay.

Thanks girls! I am very excited. Im still watching my diet of coarse, but just being able to have faith in my body and not stress out i think will be better then insulin for my sugar levels..
