So this morning I had a totally typical breakfast. I was getting so overwhelmed by the screaming kids and all the stuff I had to get done and I just felt overall REALLY irritable.
I tested, and my number was 150. I'm usually high 90's, low 100's after breakfast.
So I ran an experiment. I waited 10 minutes, put on my ipod to my favorite music, and sent my kids upstairs. It was like I could literally feel my blood pressure dropping.
10 minutes after 150 I tested again and got 132. And literally four minutes after that (no joke, four minutes) I got a 120.
I've read a lot about how stress and blood pressure affect glucose numbers, but have you ever seen your numbers drop that fast?
30 point drop in 14 minutes? Geez. It really shows a connection between mind and body.
yup! Its my biggest problem. Stress completely effects my numbers which is why i dont test. I think im better off not testing because i get soooooo OC about it. So i eat a GD diet and stay as calm as i can!!!!
Thank you Mom2*Lauryn*Jacob* for my gorgeous siggie!
