Hi all,

I was here with my last pregnancy 3 years ago and back. :/ Im almost 6 months pregnant, due in October. I cant believe I forget everthing I learned with my last pregnancy.
I wont be seeing a nutrionist for awhile if it all does anyone have a good website with a breakdown of carbs per meal etc? Im also a little concerned with my morning BS. Ive noticed it hangs arond 115 and Ill be calling tomorrow about that but I am pretty sure it was always about 90 last time.

Tracy

Hey ... I know you

my Dr suggested the following:
1 serving of carbs (15g) at breakfast
1 serving of carbs (15g) at mid-morning snack

2-3 servings of carbs (30g) at lunch
2 servings of carbs (30g) at mid afternoon snack

2-3 servings of carbs (30-45g) at dinner
2 servings of carbs (30g) at bedtime snack

my fasting blood sugar was constantly high so they have me on 2.5mg of Glyburide that i take with my bedtime snack.

i'm still getting the hang of all this diet crap and have gotten really frustrated the last few days! one day i'm spot on perfect, the next my after meal numbers are high even though i measured my carbs! i see the specialist tomorrow to go over my numbers, maybe she can shed some insight to why one day is good and the next not so much.

My Dr. wants my fasting number below 95....120 is my cutoff an hour after meals.

My diabetes educator wanted to see:

2 carb servings at breakfast
2 carb serving snack
3-4 carb serving lunch
2 carb serving snack
3-4 serving dinner
2 carb serving snack

But I'm only able to handle about what Liz_SD put down for a meal plan.

In general, 1 carb serving is equal to 15g of carbohydrates.

Good luck!!

I want your diet! Only one serving of carbs for breakfast is really hard!

Lol! I want my diet too! My nutritionist doesn't think I'm getting enough to eat, but they've let me continue this way because 1) I'm not having any ketones 2) up until recently I was feeling pretty satisfied with the meals and 3) it's all my body can handle without having high sugars!

One serving is hard for breakfast.....I'm really lucky that I love eggs. Almost every morning, even when not diabetic, I'll eat scrambled eggs with diced ham, cheese, and bell peppers with a piece of toast. YUMMY. And for my sweet tooth, a coffee with creamer and sf whipped cream on top - does very little to my blood sugars!
