This is my first pregnancy and I am scared because I was just diagnosed with gestational diabetes, not only do I have that going on but I have signs of pre-eclampsia as well. I just can't catch a break. I am having a hard time finding things to eat but trying my best. But my concern is now that I am watching what I eat I am still spilling Ketones into my urine but not glucose so I don't get it. It's making me a little nervous and my doctor is really not being much help at all. Anyone know anything about the Ketone thing??
Usually if you manage to eat your daily carb intake (e.g. 200g) and divide it into your meals and snacks evenly (e.g. 40-25-50-25-50 -10 late snack) you shouldn't be spilling ketones.
Or are the ketones connected with your pre-e?
