I was just diagnosed with gd a week ago at 36 weeks (I know, my doc was a bit late ordering the tests!) and I've only had my diet plan and meter for four days. I have been sticking to the diet, but I can't seem to get my numbers where they should be.
Yesterday my LOWEST post meal number was 126 and my highest was 183! I'm worried and wonder what I can do because I am being very strict about my diet, and I am chugging water like my dietician suggested but even my post breakfast number this morning was 123.
What else can I do to get these numbers down? And at what number should I truly be concerned? I saw a specialist in high risk pregnancies Monday, and so far everything was right on track but now that I am seeing these high numbers so consistently I am worried that I could be harming my baby...
Please any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
