[IMG][/IMG]We went in for induction on April 27th at 10:00 am. It took forever to get set up and ready to go. The nurses could not decide where to put my iv and I have 3 nasty bruises because of that.
At 11:15 I got the cytotek inserted and was not sure what I was at the time (she didn't tell me) I was a 2 at my appointment Thursday afternoon. At first it was just the boyfriend, myself and my dad just hanging out waiting on something to happen. My mom showed up shortly after lunch.
The doctor came in and broke my water at 1:16 pm. I was a 4.
I got my epidural around 2:20 and oh my I forgot how uncomfortable it is to get one. I was 5 cm. The anethesiologist hit my nerve on my right side like twice so it made me jump. He had to end up giving me a shot of fentinol (sp) to relax me. He finally got it in and I decided I was going to take a nap but I wasn't really all that tired. By this time my sister and best friend had shown up along with the bf's sister, daughter, and husband (During the labor part it didn't really matter to me how many people were there).
They started my pitocin at 3:28. I was checked at sometime and was a 6. The nurse kept coming in and up it like she was supposed to. It seemed to me like things were taking forever. Well, at some time the nurse came in and said she would have to put the contraction monitor inside me because the one on the outside wasn't reading right because she could tell the numbers were higher than what was showing up.
Around 4:30 I was 7 cm and baby had started to not move around like they wanted him to but his heart rate was fine though. They hooked me up to oxygen and made me lay on my left side until it was time to deliver.
At 7:21 I was 9 cm. They told me 10-15 mins and I would be ready to push that they were calling dr in.
Dr. walked in and was ready to begin at 7:48. Jaxon was born at 7:53 pm with 3-4 pushes.
Jaxon Brantley was born 7:53 PM weighing 8 lbs 8.2 ozs 21 inches long 13.5 inch head and 14 in chest.
No problems with him at all except a little facial bruising from such a quick delivery.
We were released from the hospital Monday afternoon to come home. Both of us are healthy He has a little jaundice but nothing the sunlight won't cure.
He is a bf happy baby He does like to sleep more in day and less at night but hey I can deal with that for now.
