Mine was definitely not like that...it was more *TMI WARNING* like a few tiny bubbles came up along the outside edge of the pee and that was all....does that sound like boy?

I used a little 3 oz cup, with about a teaspoon/maybe 2 of baking soda. I had also JUST went pee before reading this thread and posting. So, I'm hoping I didn't get an accurate result. I guess I only have to wait 24 hrs to find out!!!

LOL wow, you guys. This is pretty funny, I must say. Not saying I won't try it, but I did one of those gender prediction tests you get at the drug store and it was dead WRONG last pregnancy. So I'm not putting much faith in baking soda. Wonder what this is based on??

I did it tonight and got GIRL. Maternit21 told me girl too. So yeah, it's probably a girl! I still told DH I wouldn't start shopping until I see a vagina on the u/s.

It's based on absolutely nothing. I wonder sometimes where it originated, but there's no reason whatsoever to think it might accurately predict gender. It's a more likely indicator of what you ate the day you took it.

Depending on how acidic your pee is, the more likely you are to get "fizz" in the baking soda. If you make your own cleaner, baking soda and vinegar are two big components. When you mix them together, you're going to get a nice fizzy reaction. This is essentially the same concept. But again, it has nothing to do with pregnancy.

That said, I did it for fun and got a girl result
