Is anyone else struggling with this?
I am just not hungry, and I have to force myself to eat enough, on a good day I'll still be a couple hundred calories short, and I'm losing a noticeable amount of weight (both on the scale, and just in appearance).

I'm forcing myself to eat three meals and three snacks, and most of them are quite healthy (with the exception of this weekend, and my hubby's easter score of my sweets craving ) but it's just not enough, and when I do eat well, I feel overfull and queasy all day.

Anyone else have tips or experience? I know how important it is to be properly nourished for a healthy pregnancy and birth.

Some days I fall way under on calories some I am way over. Some says I am way over in nothing but bad calories. I think its just luck of the draw in the begining. Some days I throw up everything I take in

I've been drinking a couple of Ensure's a day to boost my nutrition. I have only gained 6 lbs and I started out under weight. But the ensure has been helping.
Baby will take what he or she needs from you at your sacrifice so sometimes we get malnurished but not usually the baby.

I don't count calories. Oops!

I am still down 5lbs. I am def looking pregnant and still cant gain back what I lost

No. I wish I had this problem. I have no issues coming up with calories! I don't really eat ALOT but that doesn't mean I don't WANT to. I usually crave salads and good things at first. Then, I get so sick of them I only want junk and am too lazy to make salads. I forced myself to make a salad today.

i don't count calories, but if I did I know I'd be WAY short. I pretty much either don't have an appetite or feel like I'm going to be sick after finding something I can actually get a few bites of down. It is 4pm here and so far today I've had a mug of hot chocolate and a bowl of oatmeal. Hopefully I'll be able to eat a decent amount for dinner.

I know I'm gaining but I still don't want to eat a lot most days. The first trimester really threw me off, and now in the 2nd nothing seems good still. TRYING to muster up the motivation to eat more, and eat healthily!

I ditto the ensure. It's not all about calories...as long as you are getting the nutrition that you & baby needs. My appetite went to **** for a few weeks, so I made sure I had ensure on hand so that at least I knew that baby was getting some nutrients. And i'm assuming you are taking your prenatal vitamins too. If you are really concerned, it doesn't hurt to ask you doc...but I think you'll be fine.

And FYI...as of my appt at 12w, 5d I still hadn't gained a single pound...and I didn't even have ms. My doc wasn't concerned.
Per my scale at home, I'm still only up about a pound, and I'm just over 15w.

2nd GP Appt: 02/20 - wasn't able to pick up a heartbeat
3rd GP Appt: 02-21 - due to spotting, still no hb
1st U/S: 02/25 - 10wk u/s due to spotting > saw the hb and our little blob!!
NPT U/S: 03/15 - got a wave from our LO!! And all looks well. We went public!!
3rd GP Appt: 03/22 - heard the hb...157!
1st OB Appt: 04/22 - LOVE my OB. She doesn't rush, as is pretty knowledgable about crohn's and pregnancy. hb = 159!
20wk u/s: 05/06 - Loved seeing our little babe again! Tech was very tight lipped though, and no medical info was given. And we're holding off on the gender until the reveal party!!
Reveal Party: 05/18 - IT'S A GIRL!!!!
OB Appt: 05/22 -

I'm down 15 lbs, I don't usually count calories, but I was wondering if the crummy feeling was due to diet, and I calculated it online for a normal good day. I was almost 500 down from where i should be.
I'm also spilling protein (meaning I have a protein deficit), which is no surprise, because everything with protein is just foul right now.
I've been thinking about trying ensure or some kind of drinkable supplement, I'll have to look into that.
My midwife was very insistent that I work on my diet, but I just feel stuck with things.

It wouldn't add as many calories, but I also tried to drink a lot of V8 in the first trimester because I was having a lot of aversions to vegetables.
