I went for palpitations and dizzy spells. Was diagnose with mitral valve prolapse 6 or so years ago. Hadnt had a checkup in at least 5 years. Turns out I don't even have MVP! It was over diagnosed back then!
Doctor says my heart looks as healthy as an 18 yr old.
Palpitations were probably from caffeine in the beginning then caffeine withdrawals and pregnancy mixed. He said not to worry at all, perfectly healthy!

I should mention that when I was diagnosed I want symptomatic, but I had panic attacks and they couldn't figure out why so they looked at my brain and my heart

Awesome news. I have had palpitations before and they even did an EKG-doc said it was stress and I needed to be mindful of caffeine intake and chill out. It was pretty dang scary how it felt and really had me worried. Since then though I have only had a couple episodes and its been a couple years. It seems to make it easier to be less stressed when you KNOW your heart is fine.

It is scary! They did an EKG and an echocardiogram and everything looked great. It's apparently not uncommon for healthy hearts to jump around a bit lol

Glad you got good news!! I get heart palpitations too from time to time. I've always accredited it to my anxiety issues.
