So do you guys get hostesses a gift at showers? I have FOURTEEN people helping at my shower Sunday. So obviously I can't afford much.

My mom said not everyone does a hostess gift.. but I just don't know if I should or not. And what the heck do I get for them??

This is just part of my list of "to-dos" that has me all stressed out.

I've been thinking about this too!!! I know one of my aunts is the main hostess, but I don't actually know who else is really helping. I'm not sure if it's appropriate to wait until after the shower and give them gifts with their thank you card?

For my wedding shower, I never did separate hostess gifts, I just gave my bridesmaids a little extra with their gifts for being part of the wedding, so I'm kind of at a loss with this...

Aw, mama. Not everyone does hostess gifts, and honestly, it's my understanding that those kinds of gifts are small things anyway (assuming it's similar to buying gifts for something like a wedding party). I hope someone else has some better advice, but I just wanted to send some hugs. Your shower is supposed to be a happy day, not a stressful one!

I'm not sure what sort of selection they have or if they have hostess gifts, but we used Shop Wedding Favors, Baby Shower Favors & More | Beau-coup for our wedding favors. They had a decent bridal party gifts section too, but our wedding party was made up of my dsc so we weren't really looking for party gifts.

For 14 people helping throw it? That is a lot of ppl. I think if you have 1 or 2 people who are the ones paying for everything, setting everything up etc then a small gift like a bottle of wine or chocolates or something like that is a nice gesture to show your appreciation for their hard work-but 14 people? If you are really worried about it I think a simple gesture is good enough-something like baking cookies or cupcakes or publicly thanking them as a group for putting on the shower. No one should expect a hostess gift anyways-you should throw the shower because you want to honor the Mommy-to-be!

I agree with Rebecca. If you only had one or two, I'd suggest giving them a piece of your artwork as it is so pretty, but for 14 I think a public thank you and perhaps some baked goods would be all the thanks that's needed.

I think baked goods are a great idea for such a large group! I think I'm going to do wine for my aunt- I just need to figure out who else is helping and whether or not I need any other gifts.

I don't think they are necessary I didn't give
Hostess gifts my last shower. It didn't cross my mind.
This time I just gave some jewelry from forever 21 and some other small things. Forever 21 has cute necklaces for a little over $1 a piece.
Take the tag off and they would never know

Thank you SO much for the suggestions! I am loving the baked goods idea. We actually have a bakery here that makes the BEST iced sugar cookies.. and they are really big. I could make something, but those would be WAY better.. haha. I will package them up all pretty with a note.

14 people really is a lot.. when the talk of a shower first came up my mom had a few people approach her at church saying they wanted to help... and she said people kept coming. So it ended up being 14! Even the lady that owns the place they are renting is helping (so she gave a discount!)

I feel very loved that so many wanted to help

Those are CUTE ideas.. love the nailpolish. But since I waited last minute I did the cookies.. I put them in little bags with a thank you note. Turned out good!

I think the cookies are a really perfect, sweet idea. That was really smart.
