Is it possible to "drop" this early??

I have always carried low but today he feels EXTRA low....or is he maybe just laying differently?

Had a few BH contractions this afternoon but that's about it. I was 50% effaced at last appt but no dilation yet.

Here is a pic I took about 15 minutes ago....what do you ladies think?

I'm not totally sure, but I have read that FTMs can drop several weeks ahead of time. Compared to the most recent picture you have in your belly picture thread, I think it's possibly you could be dropping.

It's possible. I don't know, Hun. I'm going to be surprised if you make it to the end of September. That baby is LOW.

It's possible. The baby flipped head down, and I dropped about a week or so ago. I've been feeling more pressure down there, peeing like crazy (all day and waking up several times a night now), plus of course the BH, but I've been having plenty of those for a while now.

With already being effaced, I would probably check in with your doctor. Your cervix is less likely to hold up to the pressure of a low, low baby so it would be a good idea to get checked out to make sure him being so low isn't thinning/dilating you anymore.

Do you have a shot from before that we can see side by side for comparison?

I am going in on Wednesday at 3:30 for a f/u from my appt last week. I'm planning on waiting until then unless something changes before tomorrow.

You have definitely dropped and it looks like he was transverse in the 30 weeks pic. I'd say he's head down in the recent pic.

I think I started dropping last week at 30 weeks. I was also wondering if that was normal.

you look like baby is def dropped (or dropping), def mention to your dr so they maybe start doing earlier cervix checks on you given you've already had some effacement. I'm with Brie, don't leave packing your hospital bag until last sec lol I suspect you might end up with an early arrival but hopefully he keeps baking for a bit longer
