When I am not pregnant and about to start my period I get weird cramps that radiate down through my thighs. It usually happens the day/night before I start my period. The only way I can describe the feeling is that it literally feels like my femur is aching. I have been having those same feelings since yesterday. Has anyone else been feeling anything like this?

I get the same exact thing with my period cramps sometimes. I get the cramps on each side down low in my pelvic area and then it aches right where my legs connect to my torso, and down my thighs just like you said.
I have had these kinds of cramps once or twice in the last few days. Nothing seemed to happen, but I take it as a good sign...
Usually when my contractions start they feel like period cramps to me.

I get that same type of cramping around my period, but haven't felt anything like it yet during pregnancy. So far just braxton hicks and some off an on back aching (like a rhythmic squeezing feeling in my lower back, but I only get that like once every couple of days so I'm not too concerned about that, at least not yet.
