I stated in my other post that my doctor checked me, when i asked him if i waa dilated he said "not really" and he was pushing pretty hard, well when i got home i noticed blood every time i wiped, nothing alarming, and I have been mildly cramping ever since then and every time I wipe tiny bits of my mucus plug are on the tp. The longest piece was like a half an inch and very small, and it was sticky/stretchy and tinged with blood because obviously I've been spotting since he checked me, so does that mean my cervix is opened a little? I mean, doesnt it have to be for me to be losing my plug?

Your cervix does not have to be open at all to lose your plug. The doctor might have irritated it during his check. I am not saying that it is not open either anything is possible at this stage.

My cervix has been long and closed since day 1, and I lost tonnes of my plug at 27 weeks. It regenerated and I lost more at 34 weeks. Hopefully 'not really' means a bit and you're progressing

It could be from the irritation from the check, or it could be your body slowly effacing or dilating. Unfortunately it's pretty impossible to tell with mucous plugs.

It is frustrating to not really know. My mw doesn't do cervical checks until 39 weeks, so I have no idea where I am in that whole process either (and I've been losing pieces of plug semi-regularly for about two weeks).

I just havent seen any blood or change in my body in so long that now I'm questioning what's happening, when its probably just irritated from the check. Lol
