Hi all! I'm sure no one remembers me. I posted some in the beginning of this due date club back in Jan and Feb. But I'm never good at keeping up with the board and being active enough to actually get to know people and feel like part of the group. So I resigned myself to occasionally lurking. But now I'm at the end of my pregnancy and going crazy every day that I'm not in labor yet. No one understands this like someone who's also currently at the end of pregnancy! So I figured this would be a good place to vent. But also, I'd like to become an active member and be a part of this board once it becomes a play room too. So for a little background--I'm 32, married, with two boys ages 2 and 4. This baby is a girl and will pretty surely be our last. My last two births were natural births at a hospital with an OB. This one will be at a birthing center with midwives. I'd been working full time (12 hour shifts) up until I was 38 weeks pregnant but now I'm finally off until she comes. My due date is Sept 29th. I've been having a lot of BH ctx's and really thought I was in labor one night but it went away. This is totally different than how it was with my boys--barely any BH and the first time I thought I was in labor I was, both times.
Anyway, to get things going I've tried DTD, nipple stimulation, walking, pineapple (although I didn't know you have to eat it fresh because the enzyme that helps soften the cervix is heat sensitive and gets destroyed when cooked or canned), spicy food, etc. I haven't tried EPO or RRL tea. And I don't think I'm up for castor oil, lol! But anyway, I sure wish things would get going! It's amazing how time slows down during the last week or two. I love reading everybody's birth stories though. It helps keep me excited knowing mine is just around the corner.
