I know it's super early, but I'm super excited. Even though it's too early to make a final decision I thought we could start throwing around ideas for our ddc theme. So have at it ladies 
Some theme's that past October DDC's have done is woodlanders (from what I can see in the 2012 DDC), candy, and pumpkins.

A lot of DDC's pick themes to go with their DDC and design their DDC blinkies and sticky names around that. For example our March 2008 DDC was shamrocks I think.

I don't like eating candy corn but that was my first though too! I like the idea of keeping the theme fall related though as opposed to Halloween cause some people don't "do" Halloween. Idk whatever is decided is fine by me

I think we should do something with Alice in Wonderland! I think it would be really unique and october 6th is Mad Hatter day or maybe something whimsical regarding silly things! Im pretty sure a current playroom uses the Apple theme already. Along with pumpkins and candy.

I love Halloween so much but I get that not everybody loves it or celebrates. How about a more benign "trick or treat" theme? Emphasis on the treat. We don't have all that fall wonder here in Florida so I don't connect with all the harvest stuff, personally. October reminds me of Halloween, pumpkins, and football!

The only thing that sucks about Halloween is when you have 4 bags of candy and only 1 or 2 trick or treaters!

Halloween does not suck, its my birthday!!! Though we really didn't celebrate it growing up. I do love the fall, fall colors and themes. I like everyone's autumn ideas.

I like the acorn idea, I also really like the Alice in Wonderland theme though! It's one of my favorite books

I thought anther board had Alice in wonderland... Although maybe it was mentioned and then not picked? 
I am glad ya'll have ideas because I have nothing! LOL!
I do think people should be able to vote on a Halloween theme tho. Personally I like Halloween but don't love it. I am just into democratic LOL!
OMGosh while looking around I saw this poll from a DDC! Wow so many cool ideas! I hope we have that many
