All my babies came early. I'm pretty certain it was due to untreated Celiac disease. I wasn't dx until just over a year ago.
1st- 37+w (spontaneous labor)
2nd- 35w5d (PROM- premature rupture of membranes, water broke on it's own before full-term)
3rd- 35w1d (same as #2)
I'm hoping this one waits until 37-38w and that labor starts well before ROM, but we'll see.

I was due with my son on 3/23, my water broke on 3/25 and I finally was induced on 3/27 in the evening and had him early the next morning on my birthday!
The whole way through I was convinced that we wouldn't share a birthday, then when my water broke, I said, "There is no way now that he will be born on my birthday now" Then when I went in to be induced, my midwife said it would definitely not happen by the next day, but there he was!
I fully expect if I make it through the next few weeks that this one will come a bit late too.

I was induced at 36 weeks for complications (cholestasis). I'm planning on being induced around 37 weeks this time, but maybe I won't get it again.

#1, my water broke at 39w6d. She was born early the next morning on her EDD.
#2, I went into labor early in the morning at 39w4d and she was born later that day.
I don't expect this one to come any earlier than a week early... maybe sometime between 39w and 40w3d?
I do know a few women that went 37 weeks with their 1st and ended up going super late with their 2nd. So I don't you can really go off of history until it's your 3-4th+ kid if there is no medical reason to induce or whatever. Just from what I've seen.

I can't believe how many are induced. It seems really ridiculous to me. Very few reasons are worth an induction. Stay away from the inductions ladies, unless absolutely medically necessary. This is another reason why the c-section rates are so high.

ITA ^^^ I don't plan to be induced. I love the not knowing when baby decides to come! That part is special to me no matter how uncomfortable those last few weeks are. That end surprise is so worth it in my opinion.

Sawyer was due April 1st and I was induced on April 7th ( though I was contracting and already dilating) and he was born on the 8th.
We never should have gone in for the induction, but I was convinced that I was already in active labor so they wouldn't need to use pitocin. (Wrong!)
Really hoping for spontaneous labor before 41 weeks this time!

I was induced at 39+6 for POTS http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postu...rome#section_5
At the time my OB and I agreed it was ok because it was to the point that I had to lay flat/30 degree incline or I felt like I would faint. Then after a traumatic delivery, I will never be induced again unless my life or the babies is in danger. I was in labor for 20 hours and ended up with a 4th degree episiotomy for fetal distress (my heart rate was 150 and hers was only 80 for several minutes. She was not breathing when delivered but was within a minute. Apgar was 5 and then 7.) I 100% blame pitocin for my awful labor due to hyperstimulation causing stress on my baby and trauma to body from the episiotomy that may result in additional surgery later in life.
On a side note, I also believe pitocin inductions are a big reason for the increase in Autism spectrum disorders. Just do your research before you jump into an induction....that's all I ask.

You don't want to Google "Pit to distress". Ladies, if you water is intact and they want to give you pit to speed things up or get your contrax to be more "regular", opt to go home until you're in active labor! I don't know about you, but I labor way better at home and with less pain sans-pit!

I was induced with my first, but he still held out until the very day he was due. As tough as that induction was, I don't think he was really ready yet nor was my body ready, I think he would have come "late" if I had let my body do its thing. There was no medical reason for the induction, just convenience for the OB.
My second was exactly two weeks past her due date, she came naturally on her own time.
I am not really expecting this baby to be born in October, I'm thinking it will be the first week of November, but there is no telling- each one is different!

Want to add that with my 1st induction, dr broke my water and contractions started pretty much immediately. Did not have any pitocin during labor but they put me on it postpartum.
With my 2nd they did induce with pitocin. I assume they were in a rush. They stopped it after my epibut my contrax werent fast enough so they started it up again.

My first one was really the only real induction, they wouldn't let me go any longer then 10 days over with my son, once they did break my water there was meconium in the water. I had the cream for my cervix with him 2 times, and then pitocin. Not fun!
With my daughter I was 8 days over, and I believe I was started contracting on my own the night before the "induction" So I only got one dose of cream and was in active labour right away, had her in 4 hours with no other meds needed. So technically they consider it spontaneous labour, but I went to be induced.

#5 - water broke on its own, he was born ON his due date

DS#1 was due 11/14/2000 he came on his own on 10/28/2000, my water broke the night before and I was in labor until the next night.
DS#2 was due 1/27/2004 I was induced on 1/19/2004 due to preeclampsia. My BP skyrocketed and scared the crap out of them. No pitocin, just manually broke my water to induce.
DS#3 was due 8/2/2007 and I was induced on his due date because of Gestational Diabetes and the fact that my pelvic bone had been broken the previous year and they were scared to let him get too big. Again, no pitocin, just a manual water breaking.

DS had a few DD's 7/21, 7/31 & finally 8/1.... I ended up going into preterm labor at 32 weeks and was put on bed rest until I reached term. I think I went into preterm labor because I was over working myself and had a little too much fun at my baby shower. I ended being induced at 37w5d but honestly I think I could have gone longer. I was only 1.5 cm dilated when I went to the hospital , my water hadn't broken, I was getting contractions but I wasn't uncomfortable. My Dr was going on vacation and I think she just induced me out of convenience. I ended up having DS on 7/15
